Mr.William Aaron has graciously sent to us the handwritten journal of Temple Emmet (1837-1862)
of the 88th NYSV during the American Civil War, describing events between April 21st,
1861 to the end of May, 1861. Transcription of writing, along with
scanned obituaries of Temple and his brother, Richard Riker, are
